Baba Guesthouse

Baba Guesthouse

Baba guesthouse owner Mr. Sim and his cosy little place

This 19-room guesthouse is run by the very friendly Mr. Sim. A true blue Batu Feringgi resident, Sim has lived most of his life close to the sea. Looking at him, a less spectacular version of Hemmingway's "Old Man and the Sea" comes to mind. An elderly gentleman, Sim spent his early years as a fisherman before a poisonous swordfish  encounter cost him his right leg.

Since then, he has been running his guesthouse to make ends meet and fondly remembers the "Hippies" who came to stay with him during the wonderful sixties.

Pak Ali's Guesthouse

Pak Ali's guesthouse - shoestring paradise for the "financially challenged"

Unlike the other guesthouses which appear to be extensions of family homes, Pak Ali's Guesthouse appear to have more of a concept, one which is delibrately rustic yet cosy.
